Chestnut Mountain Resort is a full service skiing and lodging facility located atop a wooded bluff overlooking the Mississippi River.

Chestnut offers 17 ski trails from beginner to expert. The longest of which is 3,500 feet in length and enjoys a 475 foot vertical descent. And the snowmaking and grooming systems are updated and perfected constantly to supply the best possible ski and snowboard surface.

In addition Chestnut offers a seven-acre terrain park named "The Far Side" and a half-pipe called "Pipe Dreams." The Far Side comes complete with quarter-pipes, rails and fun boxes, and a triple chair lift.

The area is serviced by two quad chairs, three triple chairs and three surface lifts.

Chestnut also has built a new 20,000 square foot Village Ski Center. The state of the art building houses a multitude of services, which includes ticketing, equipment rental, Peak Provisions (apparel, ski & snowboard shop) ski and snowboard school, ski patrol and guest services.
